Tiffany's Homework

I think one of the people in this story that have not reached their full potential is Junior's dad. He said that if he had the opportunity his dad would have been a musician. Junior says that he sounds like a pro and should be on the radio. If Junior thinks that his dad is a good singer then other people would too. "And he has this old saxophone from high school that he keeps all clean and shiny, like he's going to join a band at any moment" (pg 13). This shows that he really cares about his dreams and wanted to be a country or blues singer but just didn't live up to his full potential or reach for his dreams. I think a time in my life where I haven't worked up to my full potential is in school. I could probably strive for betters grades and try harder in different areas of school.

  1. Good quote. That does say a lot about Junior's dad-- he obviously still has that dream in the back of his head. If I could go back, I would have liked to stick wtih learning the guitar. I started to learn it a few times, but always gave up...but I'm still interested in learning how to play so...it's never too late.
